The device design is a set of medication scanners, conveniently placed to the top of the IV pole, with sensors to detect medication errors before they occur.
By simply hanging an IV medication or fluid bag on the IV pole hook, the system automatically activates a scanning process for every new medication or IV fluid. Integrated sensing technology monitors infusion activity and can identify common administration issues, including failure-to-infuse conditions associated with clamped piggyback IV tubing.
